The Oak Forest Bengals varsity girls’ soccer team delivered a commanding performance on March 29, shutting out Chicago Christian 7-0.
The Bengals’ offense came out strong, with Gianna Cabrera and Riley Carone each scoring twice. Maddie Walsh orchestrated the attack, recording three assists to help fuel the lopsided victory.
Oak Forest controlled possession from the opening whistle, keeping constant pressure on Chicago Christian’s defense. Cabrera opened the scoring early, setting the tone for the match. Carone followed with a pair of goals, capitalizing on precision passes from her teammates.
Walsh played a crucial role in setting up the attack, assisting on three of the Bengals’ goals. Her playmaking ability helped Oak Forest stretch its lead as the game progressed. The defense remained solid throughout, preventing Chicago Christian from generating any serious scoring threats.
With the victory, the Bengals showcased their offensive depth and defensive strength. Their ability to execute in the final third and control the pace of play proved too much for their opponent.
