Oak Forest High School senior Justin Gibbs delivered a dominant performance on the mound Tuesday, throwing a no-hitter in the Bengals’ 5-1 victory over Eisenhower High School.
Gibbs pitched a complete game, going seven innings without allowing a single hit. He recorded 11 strikeouts and gave up just two walks, leading the Bengals to a decisive win. The defense behind him played cleanly, committing no errors.
Gibbs also made an impact at the plate, going 3-for-4 and contributing to the Bengals’ offensive effort. Oak Forest put up five runs to secure the win, while Eisenhower’s lone run came without the benefit of a hit.
The no-hitter marks a standout moment in Gibbs’ senior season, highlighting both his pitching dominance and all-around contribution to the team.
