The Bengals softball team secured a dramatic walk-off victory against Homewood-Flossmoor on March 31, highlighted by a strong offensive performance with 10 hits and crucial contributions from key players.
Senior Kamryn Castillo played a pivotal role, achieving three hits in four at-bats and driving in two runs to bolster the Bengals' offense. Hailee Morin concluded the game with a decisive hit in the bottom of the seventh inning, which prompted enthusiastic reactions from fans and teammates alike.
According to reports, Melanie Andrysiak delivered an impressive performance as the pitcher, completing the game while allowing only two runs over seven innings and striking out 11 batters. Additionally, Andrysiak contributed offensively with three hits in four at-bats, including a double.
The match remained closely contested throughout; however, Oak Forest's determination at the plate ultimately led to their success. This victory improved the Bengals' season record to 3-1.
