The Oak Forest Bengals varsity softball team continued their season with two more victories, including a dramatic walk-off win.
On March 25, the Bengals dominated Bloom Township in an 11-0 shutout. Imani Hogan led the offense, going 2-for-4 with a home run. Melanie Andrysiak added three hits, including a double, while Hailee Morin contributed two hits in three at-bats.
Three days later, Oak Forest secured a thrilling 3-2 victory over Homewood-Flossmoor. Kamryn Castillo and Andrysiak each went 3-for-4 with a double. Morin played the hero, delivering a walk-off double down the third base line to seal the win.
The Bengals’ early success showcases their offensive depth and clutch performances. Andrysiak has been a consistent force at the plate, going 6-for-8 across both games, while Morin has delivered in key moments.
Oak Forest looks to build on this momentum as they continue their season.
